The private life of a President or a Prime Minister

Nobody falls ill or contracts some disease voluntarily or with any pleasure. He just becomes the unfortunate victim of the ailment. As such, he merits all the sympathy and possible help from society.
Similarly, nobody willingly seeks to get entangled with any serious domestic problems. Though he may have, in the first place, contributed – through his own carelessness and insoucience – to create the problem, when the actual worries and headaches start, he deserves our sympathy.
But, these are essentially private matters, and the unfortunate victim has to deal with them on his own. He is  entitled to his own privacy.
Without anyone poking his nose therein. (...) But, does this apply when the citizen is the President of the  Republic or the Prime Minister ? By the very nature of his Office, The President or the PM is daily called upon to  take decisions concerning the whole Nation. He is required, at all time, to be totally alert and able to 100% concentrate on matters of national interest.
He cannot afford to let his private problems, health or otherwise, to distract his attention. Nor can he afford to take time- off from his Office to deal with his private things.
Maybe, it sounds inhuman ( or, perhaps, super- human) to expect such dedication from an individual. But, a President or a PM holds the destiny of the whole Nation in his hand. It takes but one single slip to make a wrong decision and ruin the whole Country.
Sorry to say, but if you choose to be the President or the Prime Minister, you must be prepared to relinquish your right to privacy. The President or the PM has no private life, nor can he spare any time for his own private affairs. As President or PM, if you have a health or domestic problem, the whole Nation is entitled to know what exactly it is. And, if the problem is of such gravity that it affects the clarity of your thought and of your judgment, it is your duty to the Country, to the Nation to step- down from your Office and let somebody more stable handle it.
