De 6 heures à 19 heures avec une fréquence réduite. C’est finalement ce qui a été décidé pour les horaires des autobus en ce temps de confinement anti Covid-19. Quant au métro, il roule de 6 heures à 18 heures, là aussi avec des passages de trams moins fréquents. Ils ne circuleront que toutes les trois heures. D'après le dernier communiqué de Metro Express Ltd, émis samedi 21 mars à 20 heures, ce sera une fois toutes les trois heures contre une fois toutes les heures (6 heures, 9 heures, etc. au départ de Rose-Hill).

Le ministère du Transport terrestre et du métro léger a émis un communiqué hier soir à ce sujet. Il précise également que les compagnies d’autobus sont appelées à désinfecter et nettoyer les véhicules régulièrement et que les passagers doivent prendre leurs précautions. Idem pour le Metro Express qui s’engage à respecter l’hygiène.

COMMUNIQUÉ

Bus and Light Rail Services during Confinement Period

The Ministry of Land Transport Authority and Light Rail wishes to inform the public that following the decision of Government to implement a national confinement for a period of two weeks, effective as from 06h00 on 20 March 2020, bus operators have been requested to provide reduced services at a reduced frequency from 06h00 to 19h00 on their respective bus routes.

The National Land Transport Authority (NLTA) has as well appealed to the bus operators to make necessary arrangements for regular cleaning and disinfection of their buses and for the protection of their bus crew and for the public at large.

The passengers are nevertheless advised to take all precautionary measures whenever they need to avail of public transport services.

The NLTA is following up the situation with the collaboration of all stakeholders and authorities concerned and will keep the public informed of any further development.

Metro Express Limited (MEL) is also implementing a reduced service from 06h00 to 18h00 with a reduced frequency, as from today until further notice.  MEL has activated its control of pandemic procedures and is ensuring regular cleaning and disinfection of light rail vehicles and light rail premises.

The Ministry relies on the usual understanding and cooperation of the public.
