Air Mauritius pilot found in Malaysia
Michael Kemp, first officer from Air Mauritius, was found on Wednesday morning, 27 December, in a hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kemp is currently in a critical condition but remains stable. He had a number of injuries on his body that are still unexplained.
Kemp had been missing since the weekend, on Saturday 23 December. He was supposed to be back on the island on an Air Mauritius flight yesterday, Tuesday 26 December but he failed to show. Air Mauritius released an official communiqué to announce that they were giving Kemp all the necessary care with Prakash Rai, the company’s regional manager in Singapore, having travelled to Kuala Lumpur to take stock of the situation.
There is no indication yet as to how Kemp ended up in the hospital and when he will be back in the country.
