Il leur a fallu moins d’une semaine. Le groupe «270 Lavwa/270 Voices», créé pour attirer l’attention des habitants des villes soeurs sur les implications du passage du Metro Express, a recueilli 141 signatures, au bas d’une lettre demandant des réponses à une série d’interrogations sur l’impact de ce projet. La missive, déposée jeudi, est adressée à la Chief Executive de Beau-Bassin–Rose-Hill. 

“We, the undersigned inhabitants of Beau Bassin Rose Hill, deplore that there has not been adequate consultation on a major infrastructure project which will have a lasting impact on our lives as residents. Having to live with the consequences of a ‘fait accompli’, we are requesting information on the Metro Express as it will affect our town and have an impact on our lives, both during the construction and the operation phases of the Metro Express. We deem that as inhabitants and tax payers we are entitled to this information,” écrivent-ils en introduction à leur lettre.
